Freddie Villamor said.

Video taker of Gregorio murders testifies in court

The person who captured the Gregorio murders in Tarlac on video already testified against Police Master Sergeant Jonel Nuezca, the Gregorio family’s legal counsel said.

“We already presented our second witness. Freddie Villamor said in an interview on Super Radyo dzBB.

Calosing is the granddaughter of Sonya Gregorio and the niece of Frank Anthony Gregorio.

Villamor also lauded the witness for her bravery and because she “stood her ground” during the cross examination.

Earlier, a lawyer said the testimony of the video taker will be strong evidence against Nuezca.

The primary source to authenticate the video, so it could be admissible as object/real evidence, would be the one who took it, said National Union of Peoples’ Lawyers (NUPL) president Edre Olalia.

Nuezca shot dead Sonya and her son Frank Anthony in broad daylight after they had a heated argument over a “boga” explosion and right of way in December last year.

Nuezca, who was indicted on two counts of murder, pleaded not guilty during the arraignment and pre-trial conducted on January 7, according to Central Luzon police chief Police Brigadier General Valeriano De Leon.

On January 11, Philippine National Police chief Police General Debold Sinas announced Nuezca’s dismissal from police service.

Villamor also said that the next hearing on the case is set on March 11. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/BAP, GMA News
