The Philippine National Police – Criminal Investigation and Detection Group raided a cyber sex den at Barangay La Paz, Ilo-ilo City, during the operation, four girls were caught in the act of having a live show on the internet, including a 16 years old child carrying the alias named “Tata”. After having a tip-off, the police confiscated the computer, webcam and other paraphernalia used in the occurrence.
According to Tata, “we (her family) are struggling financially and I need money for my education, the group earned $ 230 to $ 430 monthly, and foreigner organized the group”.
“David Myers from California, USA runs the website and just remitting the money”, Insp. Cordero Jr. CIDG VI added.
Neighbors were not aware about the occurrence that’s why barangay chairman ordered to conduct an inspection to all boarding house to make sure.
Tata was also turnover to Department of Social Welfare and Development for she is a minor, while preparing the criminal case according to The Philippines Cyber Crime Law for the three captured women.
