A new book published April 17, 2015, highlights the role that faith is playing in combatting human trafficking.
Over two hundred years ago William Wilberforce felt compelled to fight the evil of slavery that blighted society. Today, people with the same passion and desire for justice are working to fight modern slavery with modern tools and methods.
With over thirty years combined experience in fighting Human Trafficking, the executive editors of this book find themselves inspired by many individuals who are seeking to combat this evil. Many are unsung heroes, caring little for profile, but they are motivated, by their Christian faith and compassion, to respond with action. 22 modern day slavery fighters tell their stories and explain how putting faith into action can bring about change and save lives. The battle continues, but this book shows how it is being won in so many ways.
This book, which has articles from 22 contributors, contains a piece by PREDA’s founder Fr. Shay Cullen.
The royalties and a percentage of the publisher’s profits from this book will be donated to victims and survivors of slavery.
The book will be released in the United Kingdom on April 17, 2015. It will be available in bookshops as well as online on Amazon, Re-Vived.com, and Eden.co.uk.
