The Occupation
What injustice do we see in the State of Palestine?
Surrounded, hemmed in, occupied, a war undeclared,
Human lives are lost and children killed,
The rage ignites, the anger grows unbared.Hate continues, planes bomb, children dead.
Land is grabbed and illegal settlements spread.
The occupants of Jerusalem East are disposed,
Driven from their homes,
All taken the people naked to their bones.
Fanatics claim historic dreams,
Their fantasies are real it seems.
They impose on others the oppression they endured,
The prisons and the camps, annihilation then assured. The biggest prison the world has ever seen,
Gaza, surrounded and controlled,
no conscience can be clean.
The West bank, a great wall divides,
The United States with the occupier sides. The streets are filled with anger once again,
Repression is the answer the authorities claim,
The oppressed deprived, they swiftly blame.
Peace can come with justice two states side by side
But the fanatics want it all and no agreement will abide.Shay Cullen
