The Meaning of Easter
Fr. ShayRemember days past when he walked among us bringing hope, joy, words of wisdom and the promise of a life hereafter. He lived a simple life. For the poor, downtrodden, abused, he had great love and compassion. He saw with compassion how they suffered as outcasts, forgotten, throw-away children and lost people. He healed and comforted them and established their rights and dignity in life and death. He taught us that children are the most important. Women had equally dignity and rights, that we have to share equally to all and be humble and live to help others.
That we must cast aside useless worldly desires and live and work for the truth to be known and lived, to have freedom from the oppression of tyrants and freedom to live as children of Light and Love.
He was criticized for bringing social justice to the earth and standing against corrupt and evil ways. He was falsely accused and condemned. During his Meal of Friendship, he washed the feet of his friends told them to be humble, to serve the poor without seeking reward, to care for each other and follow his example. The plotters had him condemned and put to death, but he overcame them all with resilience, spiritual strength and rose from the dead. He was raised up by the power of eternal goodness and life. His spirit it with us for us to continue to make the kingdom of love and justice present for all.
Amen
