Saving Children from Sex Industry
People’s Recovery, Empowerment and Development Assistance (PREDA) Foundation
The Preda legal and social worker team answers every call immediately and taps into a network of NGOs and police contacts to verify any report of abuse and take the appropriate action to intervene and rescue the child, and bring that child into a safe protected home environment.
Child victims of human trafficking and sexual abuse are rescued by Preda social workers, who provide holistic healing for as many as 50 girl children from 6 to 17 years of age at any one time in residential therapeutic shelters for sexually and physically abused and trafficked children.
The services provided by professional-trained staff educate, heal, empower, and give a new life to these children. The therapy and education build up the child’s self-esteem, confidence, and personal dignity. It empowers them to stand up for their rights and seek justice.
They receive legal assistance and fight and win as many as twenty convictions for their abusers and traffickers every year, ensuring their freedom from fear of sexual abuse and exploitation ever again. They receive complete support in therapeutic residential centers with Emotional Release Therapy, formal and non-formal education, value formation, rights training, games, and sports all based on affirmation and mutual respect.
After six to eight months, they are reintegrated into a safe family and receive aftercare, continuing family services, social and financial.
