The New Dawn Home, supported by Aktionsgruppe Kinder in Not, organized a joint Family Day and Christmas celebration last 22 December 2024. The event, held in a festive spirit, brought together PREDA’s dedicated staff and their residents along with their families.

The celebration, attended by 151 participants – including guests, the resident’s family members, and PREDA Cebu staff, was a heart-warming gathering, filled with fun activities, games, and entertainment.

Children from the New Dawn Home, along with their families, were treated to a memorable day of laughter and joy. A special highlight of the event was the gift-giving segment, where presents were distributed to the children, bringing smiles and excitement to their faces.

The event was further distinguished by the presence of Hon. Judge Marlon Jay G. Moneva, executive judge and presiding judge of Regional Trial Court Branch 74, his wife, and their colleagues. The guests were warmly welcomed and recognized for their continued support in improving the lives of children and families in need. Their presence underscored the importance of collaboration in ensuring that the marginalized and vulnerable children and families receive the attention and care they deserve.

Judge Moneva gave the residents and the staff a motivational speech about resiliency, optimism, and the strength found in family bonds. The speech was then followed by giving candies and biscuits as prizes during the games.

As the event concluded, everyone left with a renewed sense of hope, strengthened connections, and a deeper commitment to continuing their work together in the coming year. The Preda Cebu Christmas party and family day was a true reflection of the organization’s spirit, bringing joy and a sense of belonging to all involved.
