The Olongapo City Council unanimously approved on September 4, 2019 a resolution granting the accreditation of the Preda Foundation as a civil society organization operating in the city making it possible for Preda to become part of local special bodies as mandated by the Local Government Code otherwise known as Republic Act 7160.
The resolution was sponsored by Councilor Lugie Lipumano-Garcia who, together with other members of the Committee on Organizational Development, scrutinized the documents submitted by Preda. During the committee meeting on September 2, 2019 Councilor Lipumano-Garcia said Preda Foundation is a well-known social welfare and development organization operating in the city for several years already.
Emmanuel C. Drewery and Francis B. Bermido, executive director and vice president of the Preda Foundation respectively, received the Certificate of Accreditation from Acting Vice Mayor Critabelle Marie Paulino immediately after the approval of the resolution.
