Preda and PBM to Conduct Medical Surgical Mission for Deformed Children

The PREDA Foundation together with the Philippine band of Mercy (PBM) is organizing in April a free surgical medical mission to repair the facial deformity of children suffering from cleft lip and cleft palate. The Philippine Band of Mercy has provided this service over the past forty-five years for the children suffering the deformity. It gives them a new chance in life.

Father Shay Cullen began working with the Philippine Band of Mercy organization as early as 1972 when he organized the children of San Marcelino to go to Manila to have the operation. Now the mission is coming to them. The PBM will bring volunteer expert facial reconstruction surgeon and a full medical team and complete pre and cost operation medications and all needs for the operation theater. It will be held at the San Marcelino hospital.

PREDA will provide additional nurses and organize the information dissemination to the villages and the post operation nursling and follow up medication. PREDA will also organize and fund the pre-screening and the medical laboratory tests the pre-screening day and all other travel and food expenses for the medical team and the children. Please donate for one child…
