Man charged with murder of nine-month-old boy
Police have arrested and charged a man wanted in connection to the death of an infant in Ipswich in 2019.
Paramedics located the body of the nine-month-old at a property on Sonter Street, in Raceview, on June 21, 2019.
Police allege the 41-year-old Belbowrie man was living in the house at the time of the nine-month-old boy’s death.
His arrest comes after the baby’s mother was also charged with murder in December.
“We’ll be alleging that the cause of death was as a result of neglect,” Detective Inspector David Briese said at the time.
The man has been charged with murder, interfere with corpse and neglect.
He’s set to face court today.
