Live in the Spirit with me

Live in the Spirit with me.

Greeting, and I am happy you decided to visit my story again. If it is the first time for you, then you can read the previous stories I told in previous postings.

This week it is time to think of life and death. Physical death comes to all humans, even to me, a fully human person, in my day on earth. My death was because of the unjust, jealous, and corrupt leaders of Jerusalem.

They rejected me and my mission to change the world and build a community filled with justice, love, and truth and be a loving community for all people. I overcame death, and my spirit lives today, and I am with you if you will accept me in spirit like a friend.

Now two thousand and twenty-four years later, people still know me, believe in my mission, follow my teaching, live out in practice the values I taught, and we are friends.

Your spirit will live on like mine does in the lives of millions of people who believe in me. Your spirit too will live on, in this present life on earth and hereafter, provided you live a life of goodness and virtue, giving unselfish love in honesty and integrity, and have real care for yourself, your family, and your fellow humans.

It is tragic that many selfish, corrupt people reject my teaching and friendship, and so many choose bad lives where material things, money, and power are the goal. Bad people steal, cheat, lie, hurt, and reject the poor; they discriminate, abuse, and kill other innocent people and children.

That is the choice all humans have—to choose to do good and reject and oppose evil. You believe and are convinced that you are a good person and that goodness and truth live in you, and you can and will live a happy life. You must protect that gift of love and goodness in you. Let no evil force take it away from you.

You will win the struggle against temptation, and you will bring freedom, truth, peace, happiness, honesty, and integrity into your life, and you will share it with your family, friends, and neighbors.

That is a great victory of your life. Overcoming evil is overcoming death; your goodness and virtue will overcome the evil in the world. Your spirit will be filled with spiritual happiness. Because you live doing justice, caring for others like the abused and the vulnerable, and you are also caring for yourself.

Have faith in me, and this means we can be friends in the spirit, sharing trust and understanding, and you will find greater strength every day as we continue together doing all the good we can.

Think about these advices and choose to walk in friendship with me in spirit, that will live forever. Come again next time, Jesus.

Picture of Zacchaeus

Zacchaeus

Zacchaeus in the Bible was a man whose life-changing encounter with Jesus was recorded by Luke (Luke 19:1–10). Zacchaeus was one of the head tax collectors in the region of Jericho, and the Bible says he was a rich man. Jewish tax collectors like Zacchaeus were scorned by their countrymen for a couple of reasons: one, they were known for cheating the taxpayers; and, two, they worked for Rome. The other Jews saw Jewish tax collectors as collaborators with the enemy—traitors to their own people.
