Confessed drug dealer killed at home in Subic

SUBIC, Zambales—A 55-year-old woman who recently surrendered to authorities after confessing she was a drug dealer was killed by two unidentified gunmen who barged into her home in Barangay (village) Cawag here at 5 a.m. on Saturday.

Dolores Cayanan was shot dead in front of her 16-year-old son, said Chief Insp. Leonardo Madrid, commander of Subic police station.

Citing the son’s accounts, police said Cayanan tried to grab the gun of one of the suspects just before she was shot.

The suspects fled using an unidentified vehicle, police said.

Police recovered from the crime scene five cartridges and two spent bullets fired from a caliber .45 pistol, and a magazine loaded with six live bullets. RAM/rga
