Christmas message and gift distribution at Preda

Four days before Christmas, 320 residents and their children (divided into four groups) from the Nagbaculao community in Upper Kalaklan, Olongapo City attended a training seminar on women’s and children’s rights and protection and responsible parenting at the Preda Foundation Main building.

They were informed about the dangers to children poised by child sexual abusers, how to prevent abuse and protect their children and quickly report any abuse. They were given a card with the phone number where to text a message with the name and whereabouts of the victim in their community. The women were also advised they could get help at Preda for themselves if they were beaten or battered.
