Catholic Priest Arrested After Being Spotted Entering A Motel With A 13-Year-Old Girl

Priests are spiritual leaders who are expected to guide us on our moral obligation. As a servant of God, they are the one who should direct us to do well and teach us how to avoid temptation and evil sins.

However, this is the opposite thing discovered by Marikina City Police. During an entrapment operation they arrested a priest who is planning to sexually abuse a female minor.

According to Eastern Police District, they spotted the 55-year-old Monsignor Arnel Fuentes Lagajeros entering a motel to meet-up a 13-year-old girl sold by a bugaw (a colloquial term for pimp) who is also underage.

The police report details states that the mother of the minor victim gave the information to the authorities so they immediately prompted an entrapment operation. The priest and the pimp agreed to meet at Blue Wave Mall along Simulong Highway at Brgy. Sto. Niño, Marikina together with the female minor.

The police followed the priest vehicle, and when he is on his way inside the motel, the authorities took him into custody.

Authorities revealed that their initial target was to arrest the minor pimp who is probably a member of a bugaw syndicate who are pimping minors through social media. But they were surprised to have arrested a priest to be a patron of prostitution.

Legarejos was said to be a former Catholic school president and known for his comments against Reproductive Health Bill. He is now facing charges related to child abuse and human trafficking.

Meanwhile, the minor pimp and the teenage girl victim is now under the custody of Department of Social Welfare and Development.
