A child abuser was sentenced to 64 years in prison.
The conviction of six child sex abusers of several young children was announced recently by the Regional Trial Court of Iba, Zambales Judge Maribel F. Mariano-Beltran, who had ruled and issued promulgations this week.
The children had been admitted, protected, healed, and empowered at the Preda home for abused children. The children were able to state clearly and with conviction and clarity the abuse done to them by the abusers.
Jill (not her real name) was abused and assaulted by Mark Jayson Dela Cruz, Leah Dela Cruz, and Reamil Gyuiang. They were found guilty beyond reasonable doubt by Judge Maribel Beltran. They will serve many years in prison for the crime against the child.
Another child (call her Daisy) was sexually assaulted and molested by Danilo Vasquez. He was convicted based on the clear evidence presented by the prosecutor and the testimony of the child victim, that was strong and convincing .
He was sentenced to 2 counts of sexual assault and 14 years for each crime. Convicted and sentenced to 2 counts of acts of lasciviousness and sentenced to 14 years for each count and two counts of lascivious conduct for 4 years. He will spend 64 years, or the rest of his life, in prison for child sexual abuse.
The child Marley was abused by Dick Maggy and Oliver Maggy, who were each sentenced to 10 to 17 years in prison for sexually abusing a minor.
The court heard all the evidence presented and reached a clear and just conclusion and decision. Justice was done and clearly seen to be done. The children can have trust and faith that they will be heard, listened to and given justice where justice is due.
