Bond set for two accused in child abuse investigation

PAPILLION, Neb. — Bond has been set for a Papillion couple accused in a child abuse investigation.

Alan Koebel is being held on $150,000 bond with a preliminary hearing scheduled for January 16th.

Theresa Koebel’s bond has been set at $25,000.

The Koebels were booked last Friday night, December 22nd, on charges that include Intentional Child Abuse/No Injury. Alan Koebel is also accused of three misdemeanors.

Papillion Police say seven children, ages 13 to 18, were removed from the house. The circumstances of the case remain under investigation.

Alan has been put on administrative leave from his job as a teacher at Beadle Middle School, in the Millard Public School District.
