BIR Grants “Donee Institution Status” to Preda Foundation

We are happy to announce that the Preda Foundation, after having been accredited by the Philippine Council for NGO Certification (PCNC), was granted the “donee institution status” by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) on 9 November 2020. This entitles donors to the Preda Foundation to exemption from donor’s tax and to full or limited tax deductibility. This means donors to Preda do not need to pay the 30 percent donor’s tax. Their donations to Preda will be deducted in full from their taxable income as computed after expenses arising from trade, business or profession have been deducted.

So, what better way to put your faith into action by helping children by donating to the Preda Foundation? It is licensed and accredited by the Department of Social Welfare and Development, which means it complies with the highest social service delivery standard. The PCNC accreditation, meanwhile, is a seal of “good house-keeping” that means Preda adheres to highest standard of transparency and accountability, among other things.
