He’s too young to be in jail but the crime he is accused of is one for adults.
A 10-year-old boy is in police custody after an equally young eyewitness reported that he raped a three-year-old girl while they were at play in Makati City.
The young suspect, of Sansibar Street, San Isidro, reportedly played the role of a father, which he apparently took seriously. The eyewitness was one of four other children who were playing house with the boy and his victim.
Police said the boy promised to buy food for the four playmates if they would not tell anyone what he had done the girl. But two of the boy’s were the girls cousins and one of them decided to report the incident to the girl’s mother. Confronted by her mother, the girl refused to talk, prompting the mother to check the girl’s underwear. That’s when the mother saw bloodstains that made her go to the police.
The boy was taken to the police station Friday night while the girl was subjected to medical examination.
